The customs union
The Netherlands is in the EU, and Türkiye and the EU are in a customs union. Chocolate and confectionery travel with an A.TR movement certificate issued in Türkiye, which covers the industrial part of the goods; what applies to the agricultural component, the sugar and the dairy in the recipe, is stated in the offer for the day. Import tax Turkey to Netherlands is the searched question, and the honest answer is that the amount changes; the offer states it for your lines before you order, and nothing about it is printed on this site.
Who holds what
The importer is registered as a food business with the food safety authority and stays responsible for what it places on the market. The Turkish producer does not register in the Netherlands; it supplies the documents the entry needs. Where a line contains dairy, as milk chocolate does, the EU rules for composite products apply and the attestation the entry needs is drawn up from our documents; the offer states which lines that touches.
The Dutch label
A Dutch label to the EU food information rules: the ingredient list with allergens emphasised, the nutrition declaration per 100 g, metric net quantity, the best before date, storage, and the name and EU address of the food business responsible for the product, with the languages you name for re-export. For lines in our standard packs we confirm what the export pack carries and what the importer adds; for private label we prepare the content. The Dutch private label page goes through it.
Documents, road or sea, and the reefer
The commercial set is the invoice, the packing list per pallet, the A.TR certificate, the analysis report and, for pistachio lines, an aflatoxin certificate, listed on the how we work page. A road trailer through Europe from Gaziantep or sea freight from Mersin to Rotterdam, both quoted; chocolate lines in a reefer for the warm months and dry lines dry. The mixed-container page explains how the load is built.
What comes from our factory
The technical data sheet with ingredients, allergens, shelf life and storage; our certificates; the analysis report per lot; the documents the composite-product attestation is drawn up from for the dairy lines; and the label content in Dutch and the languages you name. All of it is named per line in the offer and sent before the deposit, so the importer’s registration and the attestation run first and are not counted in the lead time.
The timeline
Documents first, then the deposit, then production, then the load. An importer that has cleared our lines once clears the next lines faster, because the data sheets, the attestation documents and the label content are already on file. The Netherlands page lists what stays the same on every offer.
Every line here is made in our own factory at Başpınar OSB, Gaziantep — a 10,000 m² site, exporting since 2002 — and certificate copies are available on request.
Is there duty on chocolate from Türkiye into the Netherlands?
The goods travel under the customs union with an A.TR certificate; what applies to the agricultural component is stated in the offer for the day, not on this site.
Does the Turkish producer register in the Netherlands?
No. The importer is the registered food business; we supply the data sheets, certificates and the documents the composite-product attestation is drawn up from.
Road or sea?
Both are quoted: a road trailer through Europe from Gaziantep, or sea freight from Mersin to Rotterdam. The offer states the route, the term and the transit.
